Good Lecture
I recently caught John Doyle giving the Andrew Ollie Media Lecture on ABC TV, and it was great. Ostensibly about his experience of the media, Doyle manages to cover everything from Big Brother to the future of the media with insight and humour. Highly recomend a listen for anyone needing a break from study which doesn't involve mind numbing reality television! (not that there is anything wrong with that) Don't bother with the transcript, go audio.

John Doyle's lecture was, indeed, excellent. (I was marginally annoyed by the token use of Buffy and Blogs as points to make light of, but in the context he was talking about I can forgive it!)
Btw, if you're interested in any other ABC mp3/podcasts, I recommend the Media Report from Radio National. [Subscribe Here]. They have a show on Sept 29th which was excellent, too, looking at Wikis and journalism among other things [Mp3] [Transcript].
Radio National is fabulous. I've had less time to listen lately, but perhaps a subscription will make it easier...
